DTC P2025-00: Evaporative Emissions Fuel Vapor Temperature Sensor Circuit Performance: General Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 Kia Sorento. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
In the direct injection hybrid vehicle (T-GDI HEV), the negative pressure may be relatively insufficient to deliver the evaporative gas collected in the canister to the intake system of the engine by using only the negative pressure of the engine.
In such a vehicle, the active purge pump is located between the Purge Control Solenoid Valve (PCSV) and the canister, and supplies the evaporative gas collected in the canister to the intake system.
The active purge pump is equipped for improved emissions correction during purging of the canister, reducing exhaust emissions and detecting leaks in the fuel tank and canister purge lines. The active purge pump sensor is equipped to compare and measure the pressure before and after the purge pump.
