DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 Kia Sorento. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
| Item | Detecting Condition | Possible Cause | |
|---|---|---|---|
| DTC Strategy | • Monitor to check if proper combustion is achieved | • Poor connector connection • Engine abnormal • Combustion (lack of power) • If the air-fuel ratio is maintained in the lean state for more than a set time • Oil level gauge out • Air intake system leakage or blockage ■ The circuits in HO2S and HO2S are in normal condition |
|
| Enable Conditions | Case1, 2 | • Counter for improper combustion detection less than 10 counts • Engine speed is 32 to 8160rpm • Relative air charge greater than 0% • No front HO2S related DTCs (P013100, P013200) • No rear HO2S related DTCs (P013600, P013700, P013800) • Permission to enable combustion monitoring (Engine is in Idle State or Engine is in Part Load ) • P/T Operation Mode : Idle or part load or full load • Fuel cut-off not active • Injection time greater than 0.5ms • Front HO2S voltage is greater than 2.78V • Rear HO2S voltage is less than 0.29V |
|
| Threshold Value | Case1 | •Abnormal combustion detection counter higher than 200 ■ Counter increase/decrease conditions - It increases when the air-fuel ratio is leaner than the reference value, and decreases when it enters the reference value range |
|
| Case2 | • Abnormal combustion cumulative detection counter higher than 400 ■ Counter increase/decrease conditions- It increases when the air-fuel ratio is leaner than the reference value, and stops at the current accumulated value when the air-fuel ratio falls within the reference value range - If the air-fuel ratio is maintained within the reference value range for more than 65s, it is reset to 0 |
