DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check ECT, IAT correlation
  • Poor connector connection
  • ECTS
Enable Conditions
  • Stop engine for 6 hours
  • Block heater is not detected
    • Difference between ECT and ECT at start is lower than -4.5°C (-23.9°F)
    • ECT is less than 50.25°C (122.45°F)
    • Time after engine start is less than 30s
Threshold Value
  • Absolute value of difference between reference temp and ECT is greater than 20°C (68°F)
Diagnostic Time
  • 9s (once per driving cycle)
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
