DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Maximum error of diagnosis of engine efficiency for catalyst heating during idle
  • Intake air restriction
  • Exhaust restriction
  • Engine mechanical concern
  • Damaged or sludgy throttle body
  • Vacuum leaks
  • Damaged ECM
Enable Conditions
  • Vehicle speed is same as 31 km/h (0 mph)
  • Accelerator pedal is 0%
  • After catalyst heating is greater than 0s
  • Catalyst heating is active
    • ECT at start is between -12 and 42°C (10.4 and 107.6°F)
    • IAT is greater than -12°C (10.4°F)
    • Barometric pressure is greater than 75.4 kPa
    • Modelling catalyst temperature is lower than 300°C (572°F)

  • Average of spark efficiency deviation is greater than 40% during 10s
