DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check FTP
  • Poor connector connection
  • Fuel filler cap missing
  • Leakage in each hose, fuel filler pipe
  • Leakage in canister, fuel tank
  • PCSV
  • FTP sensor
  • Evaporative system leak
Enable Conditions
  • Canister close valve commanded is close
  • Purge control solenoid valve commanded is open
  • Common conditions for EVAP monitoring
  • Engine coolant temperature at start is between 3.8 and 40°C (38.84 and 104°F)
  • Ambient air temperature is between 0 and 42°C (32 and 107.6°F)
  • Barometric pressure is greater than 74.5 kPa
  • Fuel level is between 15 and 85%
  • Purge active time is greater than 15s
  • Fuel system status is closed loop
  • Accelerator pedal is 0%
  • Vehicle speed is 31 km/h (0 mph)
  • Manifold absolute pressure/barometric pressure is less than 0.8
  • No misfire
  • Time after engine start is greater than 0s
  • Normal battery voltage (10 to 16V)
Threshold Value
  • When FTPS is out of specified value according to fuel level
Diagnostic Time
  • 25s
