DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CMP Signal implausible (too long a segment time, etc.)
  • Poor connector connection
  • Short in harness
  • Electrical noise
  • Target wheel damage
  • CMPS - Ex (Bank1)
  • ECM
Enable Conditions
  • Missing tooth in crankshaft detected No CKP sensor error (P033500, P033600)
Threshold Value
  • Counter of implausible CMP Signal per camshaft revolution (i.e. 2 crankshaft revolution) is greater than 4 times
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuously
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
