DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Thermostat open stuck monitor (time to reach threshold temperature)
  • Poor connector connection
  • Coolant system
  • ITM
Enable Conditions
  • Fuel cut is less than 20%
  • Engine low load
  • AAT is higher than -7°C (19.4°F)
  • ECT at start is between -7 and 54.6°C (19.4 and 130.28°F)
  • When model ECT is greater than 91°C (195.8°F) for 3 to 15 minutes depending on driving pattern
Threshold Value
  • When actual ECT is lower than 74°C (165.2°F)
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.05s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
