DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Plausibility check
  • Poor connector connection
  • Short or open circuit
  • Faulty MAFS
Enable Conditions Case 1
  • Ignition "ON"
  • No error of SENT communication of MAFS
  • No other error of air temperature sensor in MAFS
  • No error of air temperature sensor in humidity sensor
  • No error of IATS
Case 2
  • Stop engine for 6 hours
  • Not detected block heater
  • Difference temperature is lower than -4.5°C (23.9°F) in engine starting
  • ECT is lower than 50.25°C (122.45°F)
  • As 30s passes after start engine
Threshold Value Case 1
  • When the difference between air temperature in MAFS and air temperature in humidity sensor is more than 20°C (68°F)
Case 2
  • When the difference between the average temperature value of all the other temperature sensors installed and the air temperature sensor in humidity sensor is 20°C (68°F) or more
