EWGA Adjustment Procedure: Notes

| 1. Ignition "OFF". ■ Care for starting engine while doing Rod Adjustment Procedure. |
1. Refer to the figure and description below to proceed with the EWGA adjustment procedure. (Fig.1) 2. Make sure the wastegate turbocharger is cool enough. 3. Connect the KDS to the self-diagnostic connector (DLC). 4. Ignition "ON". 5. Use the KDS to check the "Wastegate Valve Closed Position Voltage" item in "Sensor Data" and perform the procedure below. (Fig.2) 6. Wait 5 seconds after switching the ignition "OFF" and 5 seconds after switching the ignition "ON" and check if it meets the specified value (3.5 to 3.7V) on the KDS. (Fig.2) 7. If it does not meet the specified value, readjust the rod length. (Fig.3 & Table1,2) 8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until you reach the specified value (3.5 to 3.7V). |
