DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Rationality check, high side (closed position out of range)
  • Poor connector connection
  • EWGA position sensor circuit is open or short circuit
  • EWGA internal circuit abnormality
  • Faulty ECM
Enable Conditions
  • Auxiliary battery voltage is higher than 9.5V
  • ECT is higher than 5.25°C (41.45°F)
  • IAT is higher than 5.25°C (41.45°F)
  • Control duty is lower than -25%
  • Valid EWGA voltage in close position
Threshold Value Case 1
  • When waste gate in close position voltage is higher than 4.6V
Case 2
  • When waste gate in close position voltage is lower than 3.2V
Diagnostic Time
  • Immediately
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
