DTC C1612-87: CAN Time-Out TCU: General Description

E-Shifter receives TCM operating information via CAN communication. E-Shifter uses variety information to determine whether Fail-safe is entered or not and to display the transmission information as an indicator. If the transmission fails, the TCM requests E-Shifter to operate the park release actuator. On receiving the request of the TCM, E-Shifter operates park release motor.
