DTC P0713-00: Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor 'A' Circuit High Input: General Description

The Automatic Transaxle Fluid (ATF) temperature sensor is located in the valve body. The sensor uses a thermistor which resistance changes according to temperature change. The TCM supplies approximately 5 reference volts to the sensor, the output voltage of the sensor changes with ATF temperature change. This information is monitored by the TCM which assist in controlling the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC), shift control and other purposes.
