DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Rationality monitoring
  • Faulty "N" position setting
  • Poor shift lever assembly
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty position sensor circuit
  • Faulty position sensor
  • Faulty TCM
Enable Condition
  • Engine "ON"
  • Normal auxiliary battery voltage
  • Motor speed (input) higher than 400 RPM
Threshold Value
  • Invalid range signal is detected
Fail Safe
  • Limp home mode (shift 3rd to 6th gear is OK but 1st, 2nd gear not engaged)
Detecting Time
  • 10s
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
