Repair Procedures: Removal

- When working on the high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on the high voltage system or related components, be sure to observe and be aware of the "Safety Precautions, Cautions and Warnings". If not, it may cause serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on the high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and high voltage shut-off procedure.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "AUXILIARY BATTERY ")
- Remove the rear mud guard
(Refer to Body Side Molding - "REAR MUD GUARD ")
- Remove the rear combination lamp (A) by removing the mounting screws.
- Disconnect the rear combination lamp connector (A).
- Remove the mounting clips from the front rear bumper upper side.
- Remove the rear bumper side cover (A) by removing the clips and screw.
- Remove the clips from the rear bumper lower side.
- Remove the rear bumper side under cover mounting clips.
- Disconnect the rear bumper main connector (A).
- Remove the mounting bolt from the rear bumper both sides.
Tightening torque:
15.7 - 23.5 N.m (1.6 - 2.4 kgf.m, 11.6 - 17.4 lb.ft)

- Remove the rear bumper assembly (A).
