Repair Procedures: Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "AUXILIARY BATTERY ")

  2. Remove the crash pad lower panel.

    (Refer to Body - "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")

  3. Remove the crash pad side mounting cover [Driver's seat] (A).

  4. Remove the crash pad driver's seat garnish (A) by removing the mounting screw.

  5. Disconnect the connectors (A) from the crash pad driver's seat garnish.

  6. Remove the side crash pad lower switch (A) by removing the mounting screws.

  7. Check rheostat switch for continuity.
