Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Remove the fuel tank.

    (Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "FUEL TANK ")

  2. Disconnect the Fuel Tank Isolation Valve (FTIV) connector (A).

  3. Separate the vapor hoses (A).

  4. Remove the FTIV (A) by removing the mounting nuts.

    Tightening torque: 

    3.0 - 5.0 N.m (0.31 - 0.51 kgf.m, 2.2 - 3.7 lb.ft, 26.9 - 44.3 lb.in)
