Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the heat protector (A) after removing the bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft, 34.7 - 52.1 lb.in)

  3. Disconnect the connector (A, B).
    1. Vapor hose connector
    2. Evaporative Leak Check Module (ELCM) connector

  4. Remove the ELCM cover (A) after removing the bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft, 34.7 - 52.1 lb.in)

  5. Remove the ELCM (A) by pulling it in the arrow of direction.
