Repair Procedures: Disassembly

  1. Remove the valves.
  1. Using the SST (09222-3K000, 09222-3K100), remove the valve.

    NOTE: When installing the special tool, insert the front holder directly into the cylinder head upper bolt hole and secure it.
  2. Remove the retainer (B).
  3. Remove the valve spring (C).
  4. Remove the valve (E).
  5. Remove the stem seal (D) and the valve spring seat (F) using the long nose pliers.

NOTE:
  • Always use new valve stem seals.
  • Be careful not to change the position of the inlet and exhaust valves.
