Component Inspection
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2024 Kia Sorento. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING:
- Be sure to read and follow the "GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION And CAUTION " before doing any work related with the high voltage system. Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious electrical injuries.
- Be sure to shut off the high voltage circuit according to the "High Voltage Shut-off Procedures" before doing any work related with the high voltage system to avoid serious electrical injuries.
- Inspect the Oil Pump Control Unit (OPU) terminal connectors (A), (B), and (C) locking state.
- A: 4 Pin (high voltage input), B: 3 Pin (EOP high voltage output), C: 18 Pin (low voltage, CAN, feedback sensor)
- Check for connector disconnection, damage, etc.
- Dislocated terminal, damaged wiring, foreign substance, etc.
- Disconnect the oil pump control unit (OPU) high voltage power connector and measure the resistance with a multimeter (Digital Volt-Ohm meter).
- Inspect the OPU fuse. (High voltage fuse in PRA, Low voltage fuse in the fuse box in the engine room)
