Power Pack And Short Gear [R (DP)-MDPS Only]

  1. Disconnect the harness connectors (A) from the power pack motor.

  2. Remove the screw and then remove the power pack motor (A) from the steering gear box.

    Tightening torque: 

    19.6 - 23.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.4 kgf.m, 14.4 - 17.3 lb.ft)

    NOTE: Do not reuse the MDPS power pack mounting bolts.
  3. In the case of power pack replacement, replace the new power pack with the existing short gear.

    In the case of short gear exchange, replace the new short gear with the existing power pack.

    NOTE:
    • For assembly, the new product is basically coated with grease for workability.
    • When mounted on the power pack MDPS is mounted by aligning the direction as follows:

    • If it cannot be used due to the existing coupling deformation/breakage, request for new coupler and assemble it.
