Repair Procedures: Removal

WARNING:
- When working on the high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on the high voltage system or related components, be sure to observe and be aware of the "Safety Precautions, Cautions and Warnings". If not, it may cause serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
- When working on the high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and high voltage shut-off procedure.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

- Remove the steering column shrouds panel.
(Refer to Body - "STEERING COLUMN SHROUD PANEL ")
- Remove the steering wheel.
(Refer to Steering System - "STEERING WHEEL ")
- Disconnect all connectors (A) from the multifunction switch.
- Remove the multifunction switch assembly (B) by removing the mounting bolt (A).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 8.8 N.m (0.8 - 0.9 Kgf.m, 5.8 - 6.5 lb.ft)
Information
When installing the multifunction switch, unscrew and reassemble the clamp bolt (A) to check for sound.
- Remove the multifunction sub switch assembly.
- Remove the mounting screw (A).
- Remove the multifunction contact assembly switch (A) by pushing the holders in the direction of arrow.
- Remove the mounting screw (A).
