Repair Procedures: Removal
- Disconnect the (-) battery terminal.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "AUXILIARY BATTERY ")
- Open the reservoir cap and then drain the brake fluid from the reservoir tank using tools like a brake fluid syringe.NOTE: Make sure no dirt or other foreign matter is allowed to contaminate the brake fluid when opening the reservoir cap.WARNING: Be careful not to spill brake fluid onto the vehicle or body. If brake fluid leaks, remove with a clean cloth as soon as possible.
- Remove the Engine Control Module (ECM).
(Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) ")
- Disconnect the inverter power cable (A) after removing the bolt and fastener.
Tightening torque : 7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb.ft)
- Disconnect the degassing hose (A) from the reservoir tank.
Tightening torque
- Separate the reservoir tank (A) after removing the bolt and nut.
Tightening torque : Bolt : 7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb.ft). Nut : 8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb.ft)
- Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor connector (A).
- Separate the brake fluid level sensor wiring fastener(A).
- Remove the reservoir tank (A) after removing the screws.
- Disconnect the Integrated Electronic Booster (IEB) ECU connector (A).
- Disconnect the Integrated Electronic Booster (IEB) motor connecotr (A).
- Separate the Integrated Electronic Booster (IEB) brake tubes (A) after loosening the flare nuts.
Tightening torque : 13.7 - 16.7 N.m (1.4 - 1.7 kgf.m, 10.1 - 12.3 lb.ft)
- Remove the split pin (A) and clevis pin (B).
- Remove the Integrated Electronic Booster (IEB) nuts (A).
TIghtening torque : 16.7 - 25.5 N.m (1.7 - 2.6 kgf.m, 12.3 - 18.8 lb.ft)
- Remove the Integrated Electronic Booster (IEB) (A).
