DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor voltage
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty IEB module
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Auxiliary battery normal voltage (6.5 ~ 19V)
Threshold Value Case 1 (Solenoid valve open)
  • If the valve relay is switched "ON" and the corresponding solenoid driver "OFF" under the conditions below for 165 ms
    • ABS/ESC valve: solenoid voltage is less than 2.0V
    • BBS valve: drain voltage is less than regulator voltage * 45% for 25 ms
  • If the valve relay is switched "ON" and the corresponding solenoid driver "ON" under the condition below for 165 ms
    • ABS, ESC valve: target current is less than 1A, solenoid current is less than 0.2A
    • BBS valve: target current is less than hold current and than PWM is over than 95%, solenoid current is less than 0.2A
  • If the valve relay is switched "ON" and the corresponding solenoid driver "ON" under the condition below for 200 ms
  • BBS valve: PWM is over than 95% and than drain voltage is over than 1V
Threshold Value Case 2 (Solenoid valve short)
  • If the valve relay is switched "ON" and the corresponding solenoid driver "OFF" under the conditions below for 165 ms
    • ABS/ESC valve: target current is 0A, solenoid current is over than 1A
    • BBS valve: target current is 0A, PWM is over than 1A
  • If the valve relay is switched "ON" and the corresponding solenoid driver "OFF" under the conditions below for 200 ms
    • ABS/ESC valve: target current is 0A, VVR - 4V is over than drain voltage X
    • BBS: PWM is 0%, VVR - 4V is over than drain voltage X
  • If the valve relay is switched "ON" and the corresponding solenoid driver "OFF" under the conditions below for 165 ms
    • ABS/ESC valve: ISOL > 8.5 ± 2.5V, VVR -SOL < 0.8V
    • BBS valve: VDRN > VREG * 14%
  • If the valve relay is switched "ON" and the corresponding solenoid driver "OFF" under the conditions below for 200 ms
  • NC: ITARGET is ON, VDRNX is high
Case 3 (Solenoid valve over temperature)
  • If the solenoid valve driver ICs report over temperature status for specific time
  • ABS/ESC valve: 165 ms
  • BBS valve: 2s
Warning Lamp
  • IEB, RBS, EBD, ABS, ESP, DBC, AVH (buzzer)
Disable Condition Case 1 (Solenoid valve open)
  • Valve reset after Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
Case 2 (Solenoid valve short)
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON" after clear error
