Augmented Reality Head Up Display (AR HUD) Unit: Inspection
If a part of the head up display footage is distorted or it is not at eye level with the driver a KDS can be used to perform calibration.
- Calibration is required
- After replacing the head-up display unit
- When the footage is distorted after replacing the windshield (double vision removal film built-in glass)
- When the HUD mounted main crash pad is removed/installed or replaced
- When the image setting location of the HUD unit is not at eye level of the driver resulting in out of focus image
- Calibration items
No Footage calibration functions 1 Horizontal rotation: Set the horizontal rotation on the screen 2 Upward/downward: Set the upward and downward directions on the screen. 3 Slope (up/down): Set the Slope on the screen. 4 Parallel slope: Set the parallel slope on the screen. 5 Vertical movement: Set the Vertical movement on the screen. 6 Slope (left/right): Set the Slope on the screen. 7 Width: Set the width of the screen. 8 Height: Set the height of the screen. 9 Initialization: Return to previous status before calibration. - Process of calibration
- Locate the vehicle on a flat plane for accurate adjustment.
- Make sure that there are no foreign materials on the windshield.
- Perform the calibration with the KDS.
- Under additional functions select 'HUD calibration'.
- Before 'calibration', perform 'HUD calibration - initialization'.NOTE:
- 'HUD calibration - initialization' must be performed prior to 'calibration'.
- Select the necessary calibration items and perform 'HUD calibration'.
