Circuit Inspection

Inspection Item Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
Open in circuit inspection (DSIS ↔ SRSCM)
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the auxiliary battery (-) cable and wait at least for five minutes.
  3. Disconnect DSIS connector, SRSCM connector.
 DSIS connector 1 (high) SRSCM connector 47 (high) Approx. below 1Ω
DSIS connector 2 (low) SRSCM connector 48 (low) Approx. below 1Ω
Short in circuit inspection (DSIS ↔ Chassis ground)
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the auxiliary battery (-) cable and wait at least for five minutes.
  3. Disconnect DSIS connector.
 DSIS connector 1 (high) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
DSIS connector 2 (low) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
Oscilloscope (DSIS)
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the auxiliary battery (-) cable and wait at least for five minutes.
  3. Disconnect DSIS connector.
  4. Connect the auxiliary battery (-) terminal cable to the auxiliary battery.
  5. Ignition "ON".

DSIS connector 2 (low) Chassis ground -

Good 

  1. Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.

No Good 

  1. Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
  2. If problem still occurs, replace SRSCM main harness and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
