Removal & Installation: Removal

CAUTION: Wear gloves to protect hands from injury.

NOTE: When removing the parts, wrap protective tape around the tool to prevent damage to trims and panels.

Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal and the service interlock connector.
(Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - 2WD

(Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - 4WD
Remove the crash pad center panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD PANEL ")
Remove the front center speaker.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "SPEAKER ")
Remove the multifunction switch.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH ")
Remove the Particulate Matter (PM) sensor.
(Refer to PARTICULATE MATTER (PM) SENSOR
Disconnect the duct sensor connector (A).

Disconnect the crash pad antenna connector (A).

Disconnect the front midrange speaker connector (A).

Remove the passenger airbag bolts (A).

Disconnect the passenger airbag connector (A).

Remove the main crash pad assembly (A) after removing the bolts and nuts.

Tightening torque:

17.7 - 23.5 N.m (1.8 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.0 - 17.4 lb.ft)
