Repair Procedures: Inspection

Remove the under cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
Remove the oil filler plug (A).

Remove the drain plug (A) and wait for over 10 minutes until the oil is drained enough and then reinstall the drain plug.
Tightening torque:

39.2 - 58.8 N.m (4.0 - 6.0 kgf.m, 28.9 - 43.3 lb.ft)

NOTE: The existing oil drain plug gasket must be replaced with a new one (do not reuse)
After checking the oil level, refill the with oil through the filler plug hole.
Specification:

Hypoid gear oil API GL - 5, SAE 75W/85 (SK HCT - 5 75W/85 or equivalent)

Capacity

Smartstream G 2.5 GDi: 0.65 l (0.17 U.S.gal, 0.69 U.S.qt, 0.57 lmp, qt)

Smartstream G 2.5 T - GDi: 0.5 l (0.13 U.S.gal, 0.53 U.S.qt, 0.44 lmp, qt)
Install the oil filler plug (A).
Tightening torque:

39.2 - 58.8 N.m (4.0 - 6.0 kgf.m, 28.9 - 43.4 lb.ft)
