Repair Procedures: Removal

Remove the right side front drive shaft.
(Refer to Driveshaft and axle - "FRONT DRIVESHAFT ")
Remove the propeller shaft (A) from transfer assembly after removing the bolts.
Tightening torque:

53.9 - 68.6 N.m (5.5 - 7.0 kgf.m, 39.8 - 50.6 lb.ft)

NOTE:
- Do not reuse the bolts.
- Make a match mark on the propeller shaft flange and transfer flange before removing the bolts.
- If abnormal vibration and noise occur at high vehicle speeds after replacing transfer with a new one, balance the propeller shaft with a balancing machine.
Remove the transfer assembly (A) after removing the bolts.
Tightening torque:

60.8 - 65.7 N.m (6.2 - 6.7 kgf.m, 44.8 - 48.4 lb.ft)
