Component Inspection: Notes

Inspection Procedure

Check the engine coolant level.
Check the coolant line for bending, stuck, contamination, improper installation or leakage.
Check the ITM for sticking, leakage or improper installation.

Good

Go to "ECTS Inspection" procedure.

No Good

Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the ECTS #1 or ECTS #2 or ECTS #3 and go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.

No Good

Carefully re-do the troubleshooting guide steps.
If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the ECTS #1 or ECTS #2 or ECTS #3 and go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.

ITM Inspection

Inspection Condition	Inspection Procedure	Reference
Ignition "ON".	Connect KDS to "Data Link Connector (DLC)". Perform "Actuation Test" of concerned component with KDS. Check if the ITM valve operation sound after the "ITM Valve" actuation test.	Fig.1

Good

Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
Repair or replace as necessary and go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.

No Good

Carefully re-do the troubleshooting guide steps.
Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the ITM and go to "Verification of Repair " procedure. *In case of replacing the ITM, perform following "Vehicle S/W Management " procedure.
