Repair Procedures: Replacement

NOTE:
  • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
  • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the tailgate upper trim (A) by using a flat-head screwdriver or remover.

  3. Disconnect the high mounted stop lamp connector (A).

  4. Remove the rear spoiler cap (A).

  5. Remove the rear spoiler mounting nuts.

    Tightening torque: 

    2.9 - 4.9 N.m (0.3 - 0.5 kgf.m, 2.2 - 3.6 lb.ft)

  6. Remove the rear spoiler (A).

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    Information 

    • Make sure the connector is connected properly.
    • Replace any damaged clips.
