Repair Procedures: Replacement

NOTE:

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
Remove the crash pad side cover [LH].
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD SIDE COVER ")
Remove the crash pad lower panel (A) after removing the mounting screws.

Disconnect the diagnostic connector (A).

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure connectors are connected properly and each rod is connected securely.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
