Repair Procedures: Replacement

NOTE:
  • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
  • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  1. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Floor Console - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  2. Remove the cowl side trim.

    (Refer to Interior Trim - "COWL SIDE TRIM ")

  3. Remove the glove box.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "GLOVE BOX ")

  4. Remove the crash pad lower panel.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")

  5. Remove the crash pad passenger's garnish.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD GARNISH ")

  6. Remove the heater & AC control unit.

    (Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT (MANUAL) ")

    (Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT (FATC) ")

  7. Remove the crash pad under cover.

    (Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD UNDER COVER ")

  8. Remove the crash pad center panel (A) by removing the mounting screws and bolts.

  9. Disconnect the connectors (A).

  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    Information 

    • Make sure connectors are connected properly and each rod is connected securely.
    • Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
