Tightening torque:
46.1 - 52.0 N.m (4.7 - 5.3 kgf.m, 34.0 - 38.3 lb.ft) + 38° - 42°
NOTE:- There are two methods to hold the ring gear when installing or removing the crankshaft damper pulley.
- Install the SST (09231-2B100, 09231-3N100) to hold the ring gear after removing the starter.
- Install the SST (09231-3D100, 09231 - 3D200, 09231 - D2100) to hold the ring gear after removing the access hole cover.
- Remove the access hole cover (A) and transaxle mounting bolts (B).
- Adjust the length of the holder (A) so that the front plate of the holder (B) puts in the ring gear teeth.
- Adjust the angle of the links (C), and fasten the bolt 70 mm (2.7559 in) in the original mounted hole.
- Tighten the bolts and nuts of the holder and links securely.NOTE: To adjust to a random degree use small (A), medium (B) and large (C) washers of 09231-D2100.
- Tighten the bolts and nuts of SST (09231-3D100, 09231-3D200, 09231-D2100).
- The installation is carried out in reverse order of removal and is fitted with a view of the groove as shown in the figure below.
NOTE:
- When replace (A/S) the damper pulley and friction plate, you must reassemble without omitting the friction plate after removing the foreign substances on left side of the crank nose, friction plate and damper pulley assemblies.
- Only one friction plate should be assembled.
