Cooling Fan Assembly

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "AIR CLEANER ")
Remove the engine room under cover.
(Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
Disconnect the over flow hose and pipe (A).

Disconnect the wiring harness connector (A).

Remove the filler neck assembly mounting bolts (A).
Tightening torque:

3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft, 34.7 - 52.0 lb.in)

Disconnect the RCV solenoid hose (A).

Remove the hood latch assembly.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "HOOD LATCH ")
Remove the air intake shield (A).
Tightening torque:

3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft, 34.7 - 52.0 lb.in)

Loosen the mounting bolts and then remove the cooling fan (A).
Tightening torque:

4.9 - 7.8 N.m (0.5 - 0.8 kgf.m, 3.6 - 5.8 lb.ft, 43.4 - 69.4 lb.in)

Install in the reverse order of removal.
