DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN message monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty CAN communication circuit
  • Faulty ECM
Threshold Value
  • The EMS1, EMS2 message is not received during 500 ms or EMS3 message is not received during 2s
  • The fault is not checked during 2s after ignition turns on
  • The fault is not checked if CAN bus off fault is detected
Warning Lamp
  • Warning Lamp "ON"
Clear Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
