Component Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Shift lever position "P" & Ignition "ON"/"READY". ("READY" lamp ON in Instrument cluster)
  3. Connect KDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  4. Using a KDS, Clear DTC.
  5. Operate the vehicle within DTC Detecting Condition in General Information.
  6. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode again.
  7. Is the same DTC stored in the system?

    Good 

    • Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.

    No Good 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the IBAU and go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.

      * In case of replacing IBAU, perform following "VEHICLE S/W MANAGEMENT " procedures

CAUTION: In case of replacing IBAU, perform following procedures.

  1. Variant Coding.
  2. Ignition "ON".
  1. Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Perform "Variant Coding" in "Vehicle S/W management" with KDS.

  1. Longitudinal G Sensor Calibration (HAC/DBC Only).
  2. Ignition "ON".
  1. Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Perform "Longitudinal G Sensor Calibration (HAC/DBC Only)" in "Vehicle S/W management" with KDS.

  1. Pressure Sensor Calibration.
  2. Ignition "ON".
  1. Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Perform "Pressure Sensor Calibration" in "Vehicle S/W management" with KDS.

  1. Pedal Travel Sensor (PTS) Calibration.
  2. Ignition "ON".
  1. Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Perform "Pedal Travel Sensor (PTS) Calibration" in "Vehicle S/W management" with KDS.

  1. Fluid Circulation Mode.
  2. Ignition "ON", Engine "ON" or READY mode.
  1. Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Perform "Fluid Circulation Mode" in "Vehicle S/W management" with KDS.
