DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • Large Air-Gap
  • Faulty signal circuit of front-RH wheel speed sensor
  • Faulty wheel speed sensor front-RH
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
Threshold Value Case1
  • In case of large air gap between tone wheel and wheel speed sensor, there is no pulse signal input and ABS/ESC/ESP recognizes wheel speed as 0 km/h (0 MPH) A failure is detected by comparison of the 4 wheels speed in following conditions
    1. A failure is detected in case that the slowest wheel speed is below 0.25 km/h (0.1 MPH) and all other wheel speeds exceed 10 km/h (6.2 MPH) with the vehicle acceleration under 0.4G (14 km/h per 1s) and this condition continues 160 ms
    2. A failure is detected in case that two or more wheels speed is below 2 km/h (1.2 MPH) and the speed of other wheel(s) exceed 10 km/h (6.2 MPH) with the vehicle acceleration under 0.4G (14 km/h per 1s) and this condition continues 20s
    3. If the vehicle acceleration is above 0.4G (14 km/h per 1s) in 1), 2), the failure detection time 180s
    4. A failure is detected in case that one or two wheel speed is below 0.25 km/h (0.1 MPH) longer than 12s after all wheels exceed 10 km/h (6.2 MPH). However, If All Non-dive wheel are less than 0.25 km/h (0.1 MPH), fault detection time is 120s
Case2
  • A failure is detected if the wheel speed is below 2 km/h (1.2 MPH) longer than 12s during ABS control
  • A failure is detected if the ABS control duration exceeds 36s. In this case, ABS/ESC/ESP recognizes all wheels are defective
  • A failure is detected if the wheel speed is above 512 km/h (318 MPH) longer than 100 ms
Warning Lamp
  • ABS/ESC (ESP)/AVH Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
  • In case of failure on more than two wheels
    • EBD Warning Indicator Lamp "ON" (Inhibits EBD)
  • In case of failure on all wheels
    • Brake (EBD) Warning Indicator Lamp "ON" (AHB performance degradation)
Disable Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON" and Normal signal
