DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Signal monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty signal circuit of front-LH wheel speed sensor
  • Faulty wheel speed sensor front-LH
  • Damaged tone wheel
  • Improper installation of wheel speed sensor
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
Threshold Value Case1
  • Abnormal wheel speed change is detected while driving vehicle with over 2 km/h (1.2 MPH)

    * Speed jump error counter is cleared every 30 minutes

Case2
  • A failure is detected in case that three wheel speeds are above 15 km/h (9.3 MPH) and in specific range and the other wheel speed is out of specific range longer than 20s
  • A failure is detected in case that two wheel speeds are above 15 km/h (9.3 MPH) and in specific range and the other wheel speed(s) is (are) out of specific range longer than 60s
  • A failure is detected in case that Min Wheel Speed is less than 60% of Max Wheel Speed which is over than 40 km/h for more than 120s
  • A failure is detected in case that Min Wheel Speed is less than 40% of Max Wheel Speed which is over than 20 km/h (12.4 MPH) and less than 40 km/h (24.8 MPH) for more than 120s
Case3
  • A failure is detected if the signal is detected as a smart wheel sensor signal 200 times consecutively on the wheel that is set as active wheel sensor
  • A failure is detected if the signal is detected as an invalid signal (is not smart wheel sensor signal) 200 times consecutively on the wheel that is set as smart wheel sensor. (the failure is detected when wheel speed is in the range of 50 to 60 km/h (31 to 37.2 MPH))
Warning Lamp
  • ABS/ESC (ESP)/AVH Warning Indicator Lamp "ON"
  • In case of failure on more than two wheels
    • EBD Warning Indicator Lamp "ON" (Inhibits EBD)
  • In case of failure on all wheels
    • Brake (EBD) Warning Indicator Lamp "ON" (AHB performance degradation)
Disable Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
