DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN message monitoring
  • Poor connector connection
  • Faulty CAN communication circuit
  • Faulty VCU
  • Faulty HCU
  • Faulty ECM
Threshold Value
  • The HCU1 or HCU3 message is not received during 500 ms or HCU5 message is not received during 5s
  • The invalid HCU1 or HCU3 message is received during 500 ms
  • The invalid VCU1 or VCU3 message is received during 500 ms or invalid VCU5 message is received during 2s
  • The fault is not checked during 2s after the ignition turns on
  • The fault is not checked if the CAN bus off fault is detected
Warning Lamp
  • Warning Lamp "ON"
Clear Condition
  • Ignition "OFF" and then "ON"
