Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION:

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.

Using a remover and remove the crash pad side cover [LH] (A).

Loosen the mounting screws and remove the crash pad lower panel (A).

Press the lock pin and separate the diagnosis connector (A) and trunk switch connectors (B).

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure connectors are connected properly and each rod is connected securely.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
