Ignition "OFF". Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component. Ignition "ON".	HUD connector	6, 12 (power)	Chassis ground	-	B+
Ignition "OFF". Disconnect the battery (-) cable. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.	HUD connector	1, 7 (ground)	Chassis ground	-	Approx. below 1Ω
Ignition "OFF". Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component. Ignition "ON".	HUD connector	4 (M-CAN high)	Chassis ground	-	Fig.1

Good

Disconnect M-CAN communication units one by one and monitor DTC to find the cause.
If the DTC erase, substitute with a known-good unit and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the unit and go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.

No Good

Check for open, short to battery and short to ground in M-CAN line.
Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
