Repair Procedures: Removal

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

2. Remove the battery and battery tray.

   (Refer to Body Electrical System - "BATTERY ")

3. Remove the inhibitor switch.

   (Refer to Double Clutch Transmission Control System - "INHIBITOR SWITCH ")

4. Disconnect the connectors (A, B, C, D) in the illustration below.
   1. Inhibitor switch connector
   2. Input shaft speed sensor connector
   3. Gear actuator solenoid connector
   4. Clutch actuator connector

5. Loosen the ground bolt (A).

   Tightening torque: 

   9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

6. Loosen the clutch actuator mounting bolts (A).

   Tightening torque: 

   19.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.7 kgf.m, 14.5 - 19.5 lb.ft)

7. Remove the under cover.

   (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")

8. Remove the wiring bracket mounting clips (A) and bolts (B).

   Tightening torque: 

   19.6 - 29.4 N.m (2.0 - 3.0 kgf.m, 14.5 - 21.7 lb.ft)

9. Remove the vacuum pump.

   (Refer to Brake System - "VACUUM PUMP ")

10. Remove the fork cover (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 lb.ft)

11. Install the special service tool (09430-A5100).
    1. Loosen the starter mounting bolt (A) and the transmission mounting bolt (B).

       Tightening torque: 

       1. 49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb.ft)
       2. 42.2 - 53.9 N.m (4.3 - 5.5 kgf.m, 31.1 - 39.8 lb.ft)

    2. Fix the clutch fork by installing the special service tool (09430-A5100).

    1. Assemble the adapter-A (B) to main body (A).

12. Remove the clutch actuator assembly (A) after loosening the bolts.

    Tightening torque: 

    19.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.7 kgf.m, 14.5 - 19.5 lb.ft)

13. Remove the clutch actuator motor (A) if it is needed.
