Circuit Inspection

Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Ignition "ON".
IBU connector 35 (P-CAN high) Chassis ground - Fig.1
IBU connector 36 (P-CAN low) Chassis ground -
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect battery (-) cable.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
IBU connector 35 (P-CAN high) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
IBU connector 36 (P-CAN low) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
IBU connector 35 (P-CAN high) ICU connector 12 (P-CAN high) Approx. below 1Ω

Good 

  1. Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in TPMS's connector or was repaired and IBU memory was not cleared.
  2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
  3. Repair or replace as necessary, go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.

No Good 

  1. Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
  2. Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
  3. If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace HECU and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
