DTC C1812-87: CAN Time-Out Gateway: General Description

The Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) assists steering wheel differently depending on vehicle speed range. The engine state information is also important to MDPS for its assistance strategy. Such vehicle speed and engine state information are relayed from gateway module to MDPS through CAN message. It is necessary for MDPS to check if such CAN information is normally received without timeout.
