DTC C1693-86: ESC Signal Error: General Description

The Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) controls suspension, braking force and driving force of brake system via Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) and driving stability.

The VSM receives output signal with steering torque value from the HECU, and checks whether the output signal is normal or abnormal. It also controls steering torque value according to requested torque value of the VSM.
