DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Check ECU H/W
  • Poor connector connection
  • Open or short in CAN line
  • Faulty ECM/PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Battery voltage 9 to 16V
Threshold Value
  • EMS CAN timeout status for engine state or vehicle speed in gateway CAN message indicates timeout
Detecting Time
  • 3s
Warning Lamp
  • Warning lamp "ON"
Symptom
  • MDPS warning lamp "ON"
Fail Safe
  • 80km/h (50MPH) mode
Service Lamp "ON" Condition
  • When EMS CAN timeout status in gateway CAN message indicates timeout for 3s
Service Lamp "OFF" Condition
  • Immediately, when vehicle speed in gateway CAN message indicates normally received
Disable Condition
  • Immediately, when vehicle speed in gateway CAN message indicates normally received
