Circuit Inspection

Charging System Inspection
Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Shift lever position "P" and Ignition "ON".
  2. Start the engine and turn the headlight, rear window defogger and all other electrical devices.
  3. Measure voltage between (+) terminal and (-) terminal of battery while maintaining engine RPM at 2500RPM.
 Battery (+) Terminal Battery (-) Terminal 9 to 16V
MDPS Unit Circuit Inspection
Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector (s) from the concerned component.
  2. Ignition "ON".
 MDPS unit connector 1 (power) Chassis ground - B+
MDPS unit connector 1 (ON/START Input) Chassis ground - B+
MDPS unit connector 2 (ground) Chassis ground - Approx. below 1Ω
