Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CMP signal implausible
  • Poor connector connection
  • Open or short in CMPS circuit
  • Damaged target wheel
  • Faulty CMPS
  • Faulty PCM
Enable Conditions
  • Engine speed is higher than 288RPM
Threshold Value
  • Camshaft edge out of normal range
Diagnostic Time
  • 5 revolutions
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
