Circuit Inspection

Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect MAPS connector.
  3. Ignition "ON".
 MAPS connector 3 (air temperature input) Chassis ground - Approx. 5V
MAPS connector 4 (ground) Chassis ground - Approx. 0V
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
 MAPS connector 3 (air temperature input) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω

Good 

  1. Go to "Component Inspection " procedure.

No Good 

  1. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
