Circuit Inspection

Inspection Condition (+) Probe (-) Probe Specification
Connector Terminal Connector Terminal
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect MAPS connector.
  3. Ignition "ON".
 MAPS connector 2 (power) Chassis ground - Approx. 5V
MAPS connector 1 (signal) Chassis ground - Approx. 0V
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the concerned component.
 MAPS connector 1 (signal) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
MAPS connector 4 (ground) PCM connector 61 (ground) Approx. below 1Ω
ETC motor & TPS connector 6 (TPS1 signal) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
ETC motor & TPS connector 4 (TPS2 signal) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect ETC motor & TPS connector.
  3. Ignition "ON".
 ETC motor & TPS connector 5 (TPS supply) Chassis ground - Approx. 5V
ETC motor & TPS connector 5 (TPS supply) Chassis ground - Approx. 5V
ETC motor & TPS connector 6 (TPS1 signal) Chassis ground - Approx. 5V
ETC motor & TPS connector 4 (TPS2 signal) Chassis ground - Approx. 0V

Good 

  1. Go to "Component Inspection " procedure.

No Good 

  1. Repair open or short in circuit and then go to "Verification of Repair " procedure.
